Park your Audi in a safe area. Turn off the engine. Pull the hood release located under the dashboard on the driver’s side. Open hood. Locate the low-pressure port. This picture shows the A/C charging port on an Audi A4. Note that there also is a high-pressure line. Don’t use that line. From previous experience the microswitch can be a PITA to properly clean and sometimes the best way of fixing is to replace the bonnet lock mechanism. The Handle used to open the bonnet is attached to a dial/wheel. this dial/wheel has an attachment used to hold the end of the bonnet release cable in place. When the handle is pulled the dial rotates and the cable is pulled and the bonnet opens.
